Firefighter Dies While Battling Blaze in Buffalo's Theater District

A firefighter made the ultimate sacrifice. “One of our Buffalo firefighters lost his life bravely battling a fire,” Mayor Bryon Brown said. Jason Arno, 37, was a husband and a father. “Unfortunately, we don't know exactly how he passed. We do know he was in the immediate collapsed zone,” said Fire Commissioner William Renaldo. The fire broke out in a building in what’s known as the city’s theater district.
