Can last-minute changes give “Cats” another life? Universal Studios notified thousands of movie theaters that a new version of the movie with "improved visual effects" is on its way. The film adaptation of the classic Broadway musical flopped at the box office, earning just $6.5 million on opening weekend. It's also being widely panned because of embarrassing mistakes, including one scene in which Judi Dench's character can be seen having a human hand and wedding ring.
