Charlotte Bronte’s Tiny Teenage Book Fetches Almost $1 Million at Auction

November 19, 2019

A tiny book, written by Charlotte Bronte when she was a teenager, just sold at auction for almost $1 million. The 1830 tome is incredibly rare. Rare books expert Ariane Adeline says, “It's a collection of short stories that were published like a journal, like a magazine. And it was used to play with her siblings - her brother and sisters - in their imaginary world called Glass Town." The wee manuscript consists of 4,000 words on 20 pages. There are only four others like it.
