Christchurch Mosque Attack Survivors Remember Those Lost 1 Year Later

It has been a year since 51 people were killed in a gruesome attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. Although official ceremonies were planned to mark the date, they were cancelled amid fears over the Coronavirus. Some informal gatherings took place instead. "It's more important to come and show our respect to our brothers and sisters who lost their lives than being scared of whatever," 15-year-old Lava Takiri told APTN.
