‘Crawdads’ Author Wanted for Questioning in Murder Case

“Where the Crawdads Sing” author Delia Owens is wanted for questioning as a possible witness, co-conspirator and accessory in a murder case in Zambia, according to Atlantic Magazine. Owens spent 20 years working in Africa with elephants and other endangered species along with her husband Mark. In 1996, ABC News chronicled the couple's attempts to combat elephant poaching. They captured the disturbing video of a suspected poacher being shot and killed.
