Starting Thursday night, country music legend Dolly Parton will read a children’s book to an online audience at bedtime, starting with “The Little Engine That Could.” Author J.K. Rowling is offering a free e-book version of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” tweeting that caregivers working with children might need a bit of magic.
