Fire at Migrant Detention Center on US Mexico Border Kills at Least 39

A fire in a migrant facility in Mexico has left at least 39 people dead. According to Mexico’s National Immigration Institute, a fire broke out around 10 p.m. on March 27th in a detention center. The center was holding 68 men from Central and South America. The people in this Ciudad Juarez shelter, across the border from El Paso, Texas, had requested asylum status and were staying there during the process. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
