Former Parkland School Resource Officer Found Not Guilty

A torrent of emotion as a former Parkland school resource officer was found not guilty on all counts. Scot Peterson was accused of failing to confront the Parkland gunman during the 2018 massacre that left 17 people dead with 14 of them being students. Peterson slumped forward sobbing as the jurors’ not guilty verdicts were heard. The Florida jury deliberated for 19 hours over four days before the verdict was reached.
