Great White Sharks Spotted Off Beaches in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey

Sharks are back! One was spotted thrashing about at Jones Beach in New York. That’s where thousands of New Yorkers travel to beat the heat every weekend. Another person spotted a massive 12-foot great white shark off the Jersey Shore, just a mile from the coast. In Nantucket, Massachusetts, a shark can be seen feasting on a seal. It's not that unusual to see sharks this time of year. As the water gets warmer, the sharks come closer to shore. Here are some ways to stay safe.
