Anna May Wong Gets a Barbie

Trailblazing Hollywood icon Anna May Wong is being honored with a Barbie doll in her likeness. Mattel announced the latest addition to the Barbie line for Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month. Last fall, Wong’s image was featured on a US quarter, and now the actress will be enshrined as part of the Barbie Inspiring Women series. Mattel says the series “pays tribute to historical and present-day female role models to inspire future generations of girls through doll play."
