How Galentine’s Day Stemmed From ‘Parks and Recreation’ Episode

It's called Galentine's day! Women across the U.S. are coming together to toast their sisterhood on the day before Valentine’s Day. Many met up for brunch or happy hour, while others got dolled up for Galentine's day parties. Some go to the spa or take in a yoga class. The day originated on an episode of “Parks and Recreation,” when Leslie Knope got together with a group of female friends and celebrated themselves over breakfast.
