Hurricane Laura May Hit Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas With Powerful Impact

Storm chasers got an up close and personal view of Tropical Storm Laura ... by flying right through it, on a specially equipped plane called Kermit. Nick Underwood, a hurricane hunter with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, reported that “The west side of #Laura was pretty open and lovely to look at.” Laura has been upgraded to hurricane status, and the powerful storm is expected to hit the Gulf of Mexico this week.
