Eight people lost their lives after a boat capsized in Lake Tahoe. Images show how rough the waters were. Chelsea Edsall was caught in a sudden storm while visiting Lake Tahoe. Edsall rented a boat for an all-girls trip on Saturday. When the wind picked up, they decided to dock. The choppy water turned into rough waves. Their boat, which was tied to a buoy, was being bounced around in the turbulent water. Their boat was ripped away before turning upside down. Other boaters came to the rescue.
