The capital of Mississippi has a serious water problem. Parts of the city of Jackson have no running water – due to a confluence of factors. Flooding, failures at two water treatment plants, and low water pressure have left many residents struggling for a very basic need: clean H2O. The city has been under a boil water notice since July. Now there are concerns that water pressure is insufficient for firefighting, or even for flushing toilets.
