Judge Amy Coney Barrett Wears Mask for Hearings: “The World Is Watching’

Judge Amy Coney Barrett wore a mask as she faced senators during the first day of confirmation hearings. Senators were physically distanced from each other to prevent any possible spreading of the coronavirus. Outside there were angry protestors against her nomination wearing hazmat suits. Other protesters were on her side, waving signs that read “Confirm Amy.” It was much different than when President Trump announced Barrett’s nomination, which is now known to be a superspreader event.
