Little Girl Attends Funeral of Fallen 9/11 Firefighter Who Saved Her Life
September 11, 2019
In November 2001, a young girl and her family flew from Nevada to New York to attend the funeral of FDNY member Terry Farrell, who died saving people in the Twin Towers on 9/11. In the early 90s, 5-year-old Chantyl Peterson was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma, a terminal disease. She needed a bone marrow transplant but none of her family members were matches. Miles away, Farrell had put his name on a donor list, a decision that would end up saving Chantyl’s life.
