‘Little Sister’ Patricia Chadwick Grew Up in Splinter Catholic Community

November 27, 2020

Patricia Chadwick grew up in the Boston-based Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, a community that splintered from the Catholic Church and was founded by a priest named Leonard Feeney. Over time, the group grew stricter and its control over its members’ lives expanded. Chadwick told Inside Edition Digital, “My father used to love to sing songs to us, and that was all gone. We now lived a life very much in silence.” She recounts her life with the group in her new book, “Little Sister.”
