Mom Creates Book About Strong Women After Son Requests Painting of Presidents

When artist Leah Tinari painted portraits of the presidents of the United States for her son, she said she found painting “one white American male after another” frustrating. So afterwards, Tinari decided to create portraits of inspirational women, including Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton and soccer star Abby Wambach. She features the images in a new book, “Limitless: 24 Remarkable American Women of Vision, Grit and Guts."
