Moving Trucks Targeted by Thieves as People Changed Homes During Pandemic: Cops

Police are warning people who have rented moving trucks and vans that their property could be targeted by thieves. With so many people having moved during the pandemic, authorities say brazen crooks have started stealing marked moving vehicles, not for the vehicles themselves, but for the contents inside. Don Reid and Miranda Jestice tell Inside Edition they were moving from Alaska to Florida when the truck they were using to transport their belongings was stolen from a Washington hotel parking lot.
