July 19, 2020

A newborn baby girl is in distress, unable to breath, after her mother gives birth in the bathroom stall of a train station. New Jersey Transit Police raced to the mother’s aid. Officer Alberto Nunes springs into action, holding the child over the sink as he begins CPR and rubbing the baby’s back, desperately trying to get her to breathe. Then, he races through the train station to his patrol car. He continues to perform CPR in the passenger seat, and the baby starts crying - scared but alive.
