New York’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Gets Spruced Up With 50,000 Lights

December 2, 2020

After an underwhelming first look, this year’s Rockefeller Christmas tree is looking incredible, standing 75 feet tall and weighing eleven tons. The tree, which was transported 200 miles from Oneonta, New York, was compared to Charlie Brown’s sad Christmas tree when it first showed up. But it has now been adorned with extra branches to fill it out, and covered with 50,000 lights to illuminate Rockefeller Center. Ticket reservations are required to see the tree this year.
