Prince William Apologizes for British History of Slavery on Carribbean Trip

Prince William and wife Kate have been on a tour of the Caribbean filled with fun photo ops, but their trip is also triggering backlash over Britain’s history of slavery. William made an unprecedented speech apologizing for and denouncing slavery, saying “It never should have happened.” In a tense moment, Jamaica’s prime minister told William to his face that the country is ready to leave the commonwealth and remove Queen Elizabeth as head of state.
