Koda had just been transported to the Chester Zoo in the U.K. because he was chosen as the perfect genetic match for the zoo's resident female, Nima. Koda, 1, has been checking out his new surroundings, playing hide and seek and eating his way through lots of bamboo since checking in, the Chester Zoo said. Red pandas were placed on the "endangered" list last year, as their population has dropped by 40 percent in the last 50 years.
