Russian Director Jailed for Play That Justified Terrorism: Report

A woman is behind bars because the Russian government says a play she directed three years ago justified terrorism. Yevgenia Berkovich was remanded into custody according to state media. Authorities recently opened an investigation into her and a playwright claiming the 2020 play “Finist, the Brave Falcon” broke the law. Reports say the play is about Russian women who leave their homeland to join their lovers, who are ISIS fighters. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
