Survivor Paralyzed in Canadian Hockey Team Crash Takes First Steps

Ryan Straschnitzki was one of the survivors of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team bus crash that killed 16 people in April 2018. After the accident, he was left paralyzed from the waist down. But Ryan took his first steps after an epidural simulator was implanted in his spinal cord during an experimental surgery in Thailand. He is also playing on a local sled hockey team.
