Warrior Helmets From Magna Graecia Found at Archeological Site Velia in Italy

Were these the belongings of ancient warriors? Archeologists in Italy dug up these helmets at Velia, a once-fortified city of Magna Grecia, the southern part of the country that had been colonized by the Greeks. They also found the ruins of a painted brick wall at the site, which might have been the beginnings of a temple dedicated to Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war.
