Was It Self-Defense? Deadly Parking Spot Trial Begins in Florida
August 21, 2019
The manslaughter trial of a Florida man, who claims he was defending himself when he shot a man in a dispute over a parking space, began Wednesday in Pinellas County. Michael Drejka, 49, invoked the state's controversial "Stand Your Ground" law when he told authorities he fatally shot a man who had pushed him to the ground in the dispute. Markeis McGlockton, 29, had gone inside with his 5-year-old son to pick up food and drinks, according to sheriff's deputies.
