Woman Gets Kidney Donation Delivered by Drone in Maryland

For the first time in medical history, a donated kidney has been delivered by a drone. The miraculous feat started at a parking lot in West Baltimore, Maryland. The drone was sent airborne and flew for nearly three miles to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Waiting for the kidney was a 44-year-old woman who's been on dialysis for eight years. Teams were in place on both ends for the trip and operators monitored the drone for the duration of the flight.
