Just call it beginner's luck: A Virginia man won half a million dollars on his first-ever lottery ticket.

Anthony Scinta claimed the Power 5s top prize of $555,555 after stopping at a 7-Eleven in Alexandria to buy a ticket.

He told state lottery officials after having such luck the first go-around, he might try again.

"I’m glad I took the chance,” Scinta said. “Maybe I’ll try it one more time.”

Scinta added that he has no plans for the winnings just yet.
