Where Is Jeffrey Epstein's Alleged 'Recruiter' Ghislaine Maxwell?
The 57-year-old socialite is now the focus of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's alleged sex-trafficking network.
Following allegations that she recruited underage girls for Epstein's sex-trafficking network, 57-year-old socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is now the focus of the federal investigation into Epstein's dealings.
Maxwell, who has denied any wrongdoing, lived in a five-story town house on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. It's less than a 10-minute walk from Epstein’s palatial mansion, but she sold the house for $15 million when she got caught up in the Epstein case and moved to London. Nobody knows where she is now, but she's believed to be somewhere in Europe.
Maxwell was once at the pinnacle of the social scene in New York City and beyond. She was photographed with Epstein, Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, while at a party at Mar-a-Lago in 2000.
In 2014, she was spotted with entrepreneur Elon Musk at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
In addition, there are new details about how Epstein died by suicide.
The New York Post reported that he fashioned a makeshift noose from a bed sheet, tied one end to his bunk and knelt toward the floor, strangling himself.
