When a knight in shining armor literally showed up to Cindy MacDonald’s Canton, Massachusetts home, she knew exactly who was behind it.
“I looked out and saw a white house outside my front door and what looked like a knight in shining armor on a horse and [I thought,] 'What is he up to?'" MacDonald told InsideEdition.com
MacDonald has dated Christopher Broderick for four years. He said he was already planning to propose, but after researching his family history, he decided to take it up a notch.
“The idea started as I was researching my Irish heritage and came across the family coat of arms. That was the first item that drew me to a shield and then a sword," Broderick told T&T Creative Media. "I was falling deeply in love with Cindy and ... [I was] telling her I was her knight in shining armor.”
To complete the grand gesture, Broderick said he asked a friend to help him find a white horse, while he secured the suit of armor from a rental company. He even got MacDonald’s sister in on the event to make sure his fiancee would be home when he rode in.
The pair has not yet set a wedding date.
