John M., who reportedly works in the same building as the Colorado Lottery, decided to cash in his $3 ticket during break his break.

A simple mistake led a man to win $30,000.

John M., who reportedly works in the same building as the Colorado Lottery, decided to cash in his $3 ticket during break his break.

But, he accidentally picked a different ticket than the one he meant to, a Nest Egg Scramble scratch-off.

The error led him to be $30,000 richer, according to lottery officials.
