Dr. Anthony Fauci Pleads The 5th Over 100 Times During Covid-19 Hearing
July 29, 2026
Dr. Anthony Fauci stayed silent as Republicans pummelled him on Capitol Hill. Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination 111 times. Before questioning began, Fauci explained that he was pleading the fifth because he believed Senator Rand Paul and other republican senators were attempting to entrap him into saying something that could lead to perjury or criminal prosecution. When his attorney attempted to speak for him during the hearing, he was expelled. Democrats came to Fauci’s defense, but the hearing was dominated by Republicans, who allege he is responsible for mistakes they claim he made during the Covid-19 pandemic.
