1st Person to Get Vaccine Celebrates Essential Workers at Ticker Tape Parade
The nurses, doctors, first responders, and essential workers who got the US through the pandemic were honored with the biggest-ever ticker tape parade along New York’s Canyon of Heroes. There were 14 floats and 13 marching bands. The grand marshall was nurse Sandra Lindsay, who back in December was the 1st person in the United States to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. New York’s Mayor Bill DeBlasio hosted the celebration.
