Things did not go as planned in the execution of Christa Pike. The convicted murderer was to be the first woman put to death in Tennessee in more than 200 years. Two lethal injections of pentobarbital were administered to Pike on Wednesday, but she did not die. Pike's lawyers had argued a month ago that her veins were difficult to access.
