Activists Throw Soup on Mona Lisa to Protest Food Insecurity

Activists have taken aim at arguably the most famous painting in the world. Two people threw soup on the Mona Lisa at the Louvre in Paris. They crossed the security barrier and shouted at museum-goers. Their shirts read Riposte Alimentaire, French for Food Response. They demanded a Sustainable Food Social Security system, similar to the country’s health care system. It calls for more sustainable farming and better access to food for all.
