Archaeologists Find Sandstone 'Thor's Hammer' in Iceland

October 16, 2018

Archaeologists say they've found "Thor's Hammer." The artifact, discovered in Southwest Iceland, is actually an amulet made of sandstone and is thought to be the first of its kind. Previously discovered hammer amulets have been made of silver. It was one of many finds dug up from what is believed to be a farm site abandoned in 1104 A.D. after the volcanic eruption of Mount Hekla. InsideEdition.com's Mara Montalbano (https://twitter.com/MaraMontalbano) has more.
