Belgian Company Will Put Your Own Smiling Face on a Coronavirus Protective Mask

A company in Belgium is making customized protective masks, featuring the wearer’s own face. The company’s founder, Charles de Bellefroid, explains that the Smiling Mask lets the wearer display “positive emotions" and makes it possible "to be able to [be] recognized in front of their peers.” Users take a picture of the bottom half of their faces at a photobooth, or via an app. The company is able to print out that picture and use a heat transfer machine to meld it to a mask.
