Colorado Town Not Responsible for Damaging Man’s Home During Standoff: Court

November 4, 2019

An innocent man’s Colorado home was destroyed by police in 2015 during a standoff, and the town has been found not liable for damages. It happened in Greenwood Village after a suspected thief ran into Leo Lech’s home looking for refuge. The cops went to great lengths to arrest him. “They methodically went room by room and fired some sort of explosive into every room,” Lech told Inside Edition. After a 19-hour standoff the suspect was captured. The house was a total loss and had to be rebuilt.
