Charges Dismissed For Doctor Who Drove Tesla Off Cliff To Kill Family

Prosecutors say a doctor deliberately drove his car off a cliff in a bid to kill his entire family. The doctor, his wife and two children, aged 7 and 4, survived. Dr. Dharmesh Patel was charged with three counts of attempted murder. Patel was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and mental health experts said his driving off the cliff was caused by a psychotic break. Despite objections by prosecutors, after he completed the mental health diversion program, all charges have been dismissed against the 45-year-old California radiologist and that has generated an uproar.
