Joe Biden and Mike Pence Bump Elbows at 9/11 Memorial Ceremony
September 11, 2020
On the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, it was a ceremony unlike any before. In fact, there were two rival ceremonies pitted against each other. The official ceremony was held in lower Manhattan and the names of nearly 3,000 victims were pre-recorded and played over loudspeakers. That did not sit well with many who attended the rival ceremony, where names were read aloud. Vice Presidents Joe Biden and Mike Pence were in New York for the event, and bumped elbows.
