Man Caught Allegedly Fat-Shaming Fellow Passenger During Flight

A passenger who claims she was fat-shamed on a plane says she “silently cried.” Savannah Phillips was on a United flight from Oklahoma City to Chicago, when the guy sitting next to her texted something that upset her. “My eyes just happened to glance and saw the two words ‘smelly fatty,’” she claimed. “Automatically I think he's referring to me. I just didn't know what to do.” Fellow passenger Chase Irwin, who was sitting across the aisle, also saw the text and posted a short video on Snapchat.
