Man Who Attacked Nancy Kerrigan in 1994 Apologizes: ‘I’m a Different Person’

The man who whacked Nancy Kerrigan in the knee is speaking out on TV for the first time in two decades about the attack seen around the world. Shane Stant attacked the Olympic figure skater with a collapsible baton 24 years ago. “The truth is I just thought, well, I’ll do this and kind of go on with my life and she'll go on with her life,” he told Inside Edition. He said there was talk of doing much worse to Kerrigan, who was 24 back in January 1994 at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
