Man Who Got America's Most Extensive Face Transplant Now in Need of Kidney Donor

Five years ago, Richard Norris made medical history after receiving the U.S.'s most extensive full face transplant at the time. Now, Norris is facing another urgent medical crisis after his kidneys have started failing him, a side effect of the anti-rejection drugs he took after his face transplant. Rebekah Aversano, whose brother’s face was transplanted onto Norris, maintained a close friendship with the man after the surgery. The friends are hitting the streets to try to find him a kidney match.
