Mario Lopez and ‘Saved by the Bell Cast’ Pay Tribute to Dustin Diamond

Bayside High is in mourning. Cast members from the original “Saved by the Bell” series have expressed their sadness over the passing of Dustin Diamond, the actor best known for playing Samuel “Screech” Powers on the long-running show. Co-stars like Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen and Mark-Paul Gosselaar sent condolences to Diamond’s family and friends. Diamond passed away from stage 4 lung cancer, only three weeks after his diagnosis.
