Murder Hornet Hunters on Alert as Warm Weather Could Reveal Growing Numbers

Could this be the summer of the Murder Hornet? Environmental agencies say they remain vigilant in trying to eradicate this predator. The Asian giant hornet was first spotted in Washington State last year after they destroyed several beekeepers’ colonies. Officials were able to track down one nest and destroy it, but they say after a long winter, any remaining hornets could start to appear very soon.
