Newborn Baby in Ukraine Killed When Russian Missile Hits Maternity Ward

A newborn baby was killed when a Russian missile hit a maternity hospital in Ukraine. Ukraine’s state emergency service said that the baby’s mother and a doctor were rescued from the rubble. But the child died. It happened in the Ukrainian city of Vilniansk, in the southeastern part of the country. In a Telegram post, Ukrainian officials condemned the attack. Russia had no comment. Since Russia launched its invasion in February of 2022, over 6500 civilian deaths have been reported.
