Paris Lowers Its Speed Limit to 30 Kilometers Per Hour to Fight Climate Change

Officials in the French capital of Paris have imposed a new, low speed limit for the City of Light. Don’t even think of driving faster than 30 kilometers per hour, or 19 miles per hour. The new regulation has a few goals. Traffic safety is one of them. And since Paris is the home of the Paris Agreement, the treaty aimed at addressing climate change in part through a reduction of fossil fuel use. There’s an environmental factor as well.
