Reef Madness: Music for Mermaids at Florida's Underwater Music Festival

Mermaids cavorted and sharks shook their tail fins at a festival in Florida. The Lower Keys Underwater Music Festival went down near a reef at the Big Pine Key. Speakers suspended from boats broadcast music to assorted divers, snorkelers and creatures of the deep. Despite all the fun, festival director Bill Becker said the occasion was staged to encourage "preserving the reef" and "lessening our own impacts to it."
