Police Finally Identify Murdered Woman in 1975 Cold Case

This case has haunted East Haven, Connecticut, for nearly half a century. On Aug. 16, 1975, an unidentified woman's body was found bound and gagged. Her body was discovered behind Bradley's department store, which is now a CarMax. She has been identified as Patricia Meleady Newsom. At a press conference, her sister, Maryann Newsom Collette told reporters, "I think everybody's closure is different. But for me? This is a lot of closure."
